Home > Tours in Lodz > Lodz Jewish Sites Tour

Before German invasion of Poland in 1939, Lodz was a city with one of the largest Jewish populations in Europe. It is estimated that before World War 2, every third inhabitant of the city was Jew. Thousands of Jews were closed in the ghetto by German occupants and many of the them murdered in many different death camps. However, until today many sites related with Jewish history survived in the city of Lodz. We invite you to see them with us.

During our tour you will visit Jewish cemetery on Bracka Street, which contains exceptionally interesting monuments of Jewish culture. On our way will be Radegast train station where prisoners were transferred to death camps during the war – mainly to Auschwitz and Chelmno. We will drive through the areas of the former Litzmannstadt Ghetto which was liquidated in August 1944 (last liquidated ghetto in Europe). You will also visit exhibitions in Dialogue Center of Marek Edelman in Survivor's Park and see the Jewish Community of Lodz buildin as well as new synagogue and old synagogue buildings.
