International Festival of Plays Pleasant and Unpleasant - a regular event, held in Teatr Powszechny in Łódź since 1994 (the first edition under the name of National Permanent Festival of Pleasant).
Originator of the festival is director of Teatr Powszechny Pilawska Eve, who is also the artistic director of the Festival.
The festival is one of the most important theatrical events in Poland. It is a showcase of cultural life in Lodz - there are presented the most interesting Polish performances, which are confronted with important artistic events in Europe. It is also an interdisciplinary event - accompanied by film screenings, exhibitions, concerts, discussion panels and meetings with artists.
Festival jury is full audience, which chooses Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Performance in the poll .
Avant-garde as a state of mind - this is the motto of this year's edition of the Lodz Festival of Plays Pleasant and Unpleasant, which lasts 4 - 26.03.2017.
