XIV Night of the Living Drums, the biggest festival of African music in the country!
It will start on June 23 and will last until June 25. The festival weekend is also an opportunity to celebrate the 14th birthday of City Bum Bum.
Famousou Konate, the oldest living drum master in West Africa - Grand Master Djembe, will be the special guest of this year's edition.
A true legend and ambassador of African culture in the world together with Famoudou Konate we will be joined by his son and the younger generation of djembe, Billy "Nankouma" Konate, and dancers Aboubacar Sylla (Guinea) and Oumar Ouattara (Côte d'Ivoire).
All the artists will not only perform at the Live Night Drum show, but will also run the master djembe and dundun workshops - for the first time in Poland.
Famoudou Konate returns to Poland for the first time since his only appearance in Poland in the 1960s when, as a soloist of a powerful Guinean ballet,
Les Ballets Africains will play in the Congress Hall for the audience of comrades and party comrades.
A concert with Famousou Konate, Billy Konate, CBB Ensemble and a whole host of great artists from West Africa - and more! - will be held on Friday, June 23 at the Label club.
Saturdays and Sundays will be held in djembe and afro master workshops.
