The biggest shopping, entertainment and service centre of the Central Europe is located in the Polish city of Lodz. Manufactura shopping mall is the former textile factory which was the largest factory complex in the 19th century all around Europe. The historical factory established by Jewish businessman – Izrael Poznanski - was renewed and open to public in 2006. Manufactura is popular with both inhabitants and tourists. Not only does its architectural mixture of modernity and history attract visitors, but also broad range of entertainment facilities such as ice rink (winter) or a spacious beach in the summer as well as climbing wall, fitness club, cinema. Manufactura facilities are also dedicated to business meetings. In the neighbourhood of Manufactura, there are located numerous worth visiting sites, such as a branch of the Museum of Art, the Museum of History of City Lodz, the Factory Museum, The Small Theatre.
