In Lodz, in October, 3-4, 2015, there takes place the 26th International Festival of Comics and Games. This unique event gathers fans and creators of comics & electronic interactive media every year. 20 thousands people arrived to the Atlas Arena in Lodz on the 25th edition last year. The International Festival of Comics and Games was held in 1991. In a relatively short time, the event has become the biggest comics event in Central-Eastern Europe.
What we can expect from such event, that is numerous attractions including: games zone with many games tournaments, workshops; commercial area- the fair where comics from around the world, games, books and more can be found and bought; exhibitions in various venues in Lodz; drawing and writing workshops with invited artists; competitions. At a special point, participants can learn more about Manga – Japanese comics and on Star Wars zone they can take part in discussions, meetings devoted to Star Wars series. There is also organised the international competition for a short comics story which is the most important comics competition in Poland. Furthermore, in Comics zone there are meetings with artists, writers, publishers from all over the world.
